Why we have a new YOMI program -- a New Era in Education Program (NEEP)
Since all “ in-person school learning” has been cancelled in California from March til later in 2020, a need has arisen for help and assistance with teaching students through distance learning (online, not in person teaching).
Such a situation calls for educators and educational institutions to educate our youth in flexible, creative and effective ways.
With our 35+ years of teacher training, teaching, research, and curriculum development experience and knowledge, Youth-on-the-Move, Inc. is prepared to help meet the need to help students and parents learn remotely. Our mission statement has always been: to help youth succeed in life with the help of positive role models. And, we see and understand that NOW many, youth and parents, more than ever, need to learn how to learn remotely – and as a TEAM. Indeed, this need presents a “New Era” in Education.
Our Board of Directors and other expert educational partners are youth advocates who believe and participate in the NEEP program. Students and parents respond in uplifting ways.
Dr. Patricia Adelekan, the founder , is a seasoned professional international teacher, teacher trainer, educator, consultant, writer, speaker, researcher, founder, and business woman. Her experience, knowledge, background, interest and passion are ideal for the NEEP Program.

It requires money to operate the NEEP program. We conduct the program on ZOOM. — a video communications-based technology that provides video and audio-conferencing. Our students, parents, staff, and friends love ZOOM and the interaction with others.
However, to operate this remote learning program requires funds. Not every child has access to a computer, internet — needed for this video communication learning.– and often they lack basic supplies.
We hereby ask you to donate to our cause to help buy equipment, supplies, internet access and to be able compensate the teachers for their training, guidance and time– and other costs associated with the program.
